Fenton, Michigan Newborn Photographer
Ashley Szokola Photography
Photographing newborns brings me so much joy. I look forward to each and every session. I enjoy designing the sets and purchasing wraps, drops, and props so that my sets have a lot of variety.
Come take a look at some of the behind the scenes photos taken during 13 day old Rowan's newborn session.
What goes into a session? After booking, sessions take a lot of prep. I preplan all the sets, including colors, props, and poses so that each session is cohesive with a good variety.
The week before the session I come to my final decisions on sets, props, and colors. Then a day or two before I start organizing the set ups. This step brings all the planning together so I can see everything as a cohesive unit.
Some tweaks are made as I prep. Then it is time for your session! This is my favorite time. I work with you and baby to create beautiful images for your family. All sessions are baby led, which means if baby isn't happy with a pose or set we move on.
Sessions usually have between 7 to 12 poses. Some are in props and some on are the beanbag (photo to the left).
Family, parent, and sibling shots are included in any regular session.
These images are placed into a gallery so that you can choose your create your own collection package. These packages are customizable so you can get exactly what you want for your home.
