A lot of prep work goes into planning for a newborn session. You want the sets to flow and coordinate but you also want variety and unique colors throughout the session.
I take a lot of time planning my sets so that you have some wonderful flowing sets with the same colors throughout different sets, but also so you have different colors used too.
During Valencia's newborn sessions I had this beautiful darker pink used in a couple of sets. The photo above is one of the sets I used this color with. The dark wood and dark wooden bowl are a perfect backdrop to Valencia in this pink wrap.
While she was wrapped up, I also took some photos of her on a matching pink drop. I added the flowers for texture so that these images coordinated even that little bit more.
The final set to round out these coordinated sets was a pose on the beanbag with that same color. These images would look beautiful together in an album or matching canvases on the wall.
Another coordinated set that I did was a set of cream images. Valencia was just adorable in this knit sleeper and every time these babies hold a tiny teddy bear it just makes me melt.
Going from a tiny teddy to a newborn sized teddy in this cream coordinated set. She just looks so peaceful sleeping next to this pretty bear..
Rounding out the last cream set is Valencia in the baby web. This cute hammock is the perfect prop to pose babies, sitters, and one year old's in. Her little foot dangling over the edge of the hammock is just adorable.
I absolutely love coordinating a few sets during newborn sessions. That way you can have stunning coordinated gallery pieces to hang in your home.
